Thing 15/ Blog on Web 2.0/ Library 2.0

I have been thinking about the library future and whether it will be needed in the ever increasing virtual world and what its role could become. You really can find almost anything on the web without much guidance. The young people today are almost totally communicating exclusively on the web and keeping all their pictures on line etc. The library staff currently cannot search for a book or check out a book without the computer. I think the library will become virtual and there will be a few libraries left for the purists and maybe the library will come back as a retro or a novelty and it will involve expense because it will be much cheaper to put a book on line or pod or i phone or whatever they will be calling it by then instead of printing something.
